like refining of gold as it went through the fire.
It is the flame within during the freezing cold,
vulnerability's grip and stories untold,
sailing through the storm keeping his head afloat;
sustaining the ember of diminishing hope.
The measure of a man is the hurdle he jumped,
the decisions he made; the wisdom he acquired.
The measure of a man is his stand for truth
when principle is huge over the weight of gold.
